We specialize in diagnosing, treating, and supporting those with eating disorders and co-occurring disorders.
Eating disorders are serious but treatable mental and physical illnesses that can affect people of all genders, ages, races, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, body shapes, and weights. In the United States, 28.8 million Americans will suffer from an eating disorder at some point in their lives.
At Weaver Wellness Care, Dr. Elizabeth Weaver keeps up to date with the latest evidence-based research in the field of eating disorders. She collaborates with therapists, registered dietitians, along with other members of a patient’s treatment team to ensure patients receive the multidisciplinary approach to treatment that has been shown to lead to recovery.
Dr. Weaver’s extensive training includes serving as the medical director at both a residential and outpatient treatment center plus her work in private practice. Dr. Weaver is able to recognize the signs and symptoms of an eating disorder. She also screens all her patients for eating disorders, regardless of their outward appearance or their size.
If you suspect an eating disorder in a loved one or are concerned about observable behaviors or symptoms, reach out to Dr. Weaver for a confidential consultation and screening assistance.
